Origin
The Ficus Makana is a native species in Asia.

Properties
The Ficus Makana comes from the Ficus family. Better known as Rubber Tree. The sap from the tree (latex) was an important source of rubber, hence the well-known nickname. The sap from the plant is poisonous when ingested and can irritate the skin. This plant is therefore not suitable in the immediate vicinity of children and pets.

Air purifying
The Ficus Makana is a strong air purifier and is therefore able to remove dirty particles from the air and convert them into clean air. The air purifying effect of the Makana is so great because the plant has a large amount of leaves.

Location
Place the Ficus Makana in a light, warm spot but not in direct sunlight.

Water gift
The Robusta needs regular watering and is very easy to maintain thanks to the Beautanic Hydropot with water reservoir and water meter.

Repotting
The Ficus Makana is delivered in a Beautanic Hydropot. This special hydroponic system provides the roots with sufficient oxygen, so that the plant can grow optimally. Repotting is therefore not necessary.
